Procura+ case study on WIDES database published

The Procura+ European Sustainable Procurement Network initiated and co-ordinated by ICLEI is a network of European public authorities and regions that connect, exchange and act on sustainable and innovation procurement. The PROCURA+ Awards reward successful, already running, sustainable and innovative public procurements. In 2017 The Viennese Database for Disinfectants (WIDES) received an honourable mention after submission to the Procura+ Award (http://www.procuraplus.org/awards/awards-2017). The operators of the Procura+ Networks – ICLEI in Freiburg – considered WIDES database as a remarkable strategy for sustainable and innovative procurement and asked the submitting entity Vienna Ombuds Office for Environmental Protection to write a case study about WIDES.
